Natasha Sharma, Psy.D

Founder and Director

Natasha is a Clinical Counsellor and professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She is also an author, speaker, and TV/media personality. Natasha is the Founder and Clinical Director of NKS Therapy, and the author of The Kindness Journal. She received her Masters degree in psychology from The Johns Hopkins University, and her Doctorate of Psychology degree from California Southern University. Natasha has over 8 years of clinical experience specializing in the assessment and treatment of a range of cognitive and psychological disorders, and has successfully counselled individuals in the areas of anxiety, depression, relationships/marriage/dating, parenting, ADHD, and cross-cultural issues. She has also conducted over 400 comprehensive psychological, psycho-educational, psycho-vocational, and motor vehicle accident (MVA) assessments. Psychological services and diagnostic assessments conducted by Natasha have been practiced under the supervision of a registered Psychologist.

Yordanka Garmenova, M.Ed., Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified Counsellor


Yordanka is a Psychotherapist registered with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Psychotherapy and Counselling Association. Yordanka has worked with clients of all ages presenting with a wide range of mental health and relationship issues. She received her Master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago, where she completed her internship working with vulnerable populations. This experience along with training in multicultural counselling lead to Yordanka’s dedication to providing culturally-appropriate and trauma-informed treatment when working with clients. Currently, Yordanka works with adolescents and adults presenting with a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, relationships, trauma, eating disorders and body image, and adjustment. As a clinical therapist, Yordanka exhibits positive regard and genuineness and uses a client-centered approach when working with her clients. She is dedicated to utilizing a variety of therapies and techniques in order to create personalized treatments which fit clients’ complaints, strengths, values, and identities. She is most familiar with mindfulness, cognitive behavioural/dialectical behavioural, and interpersonal approaches. Yordanka is passionate about helping clients identify and utilize their strengths to overcome challenges and mental health issues.


Maria Jelic

Social Media Manager and Office Administrator

Maria is an undergraduate psychology student at York University. She aspires to be a Psychologist one day, and her exuberance and energy make her a valuable team member at NKS! In the winter, Maria also finds time to be on the slopes where she is a snowboard instructor at Centennial Hill.
